One of the events you will not want to miss this year at the 2014 Victorian Holiday Celebration is the Parade of Lights beginning at 6 PM on Friday, December 5th. One of the parade floats will be the new Sharon Springs Express. This train has been specially commissioned for the Victorian Holiday Celebration and will find a permanent home in the Children’s Gardens at the Roseboro this coming spring.
There is still time for you to enter a float in the parade. Any type of lighted moving entry can be entered, ranging from horse-drawn wagons or buggies, horseback riders, antique cars, motorized riding groups, business floats, musical entries, or walkers dressed in their holiday best with lanterns. Come join in the parade starting at the Sharon Springs Central School at 6 PM, December 6th.
The parade will be followed by the Dedication of the Memorial Wreath by the American Legion and the tree lighting ceremony and caroling at the manger scene in front of the NBT Bank/Post Office at the intersection of NY10 and US 20, in the heart of Sharon Springs! Fundraising hot chocolate and cookie reception will be held at the Sharon Springs Central School by the Senior Class. Kids will enjoy Christmas with Santa at the school afterwards.
