Roseboro Guestrooms
Once the only hotel in town to boast connecting suites, the 130 rooms were always booked. Vacant since 1968, the rooms have suffered changes in weather and neglect and need complete renovation. At the time the hotel was built in 1896, there were no bathrooms. They were added circa 1928-30, and...only 4 to a floor. Later, in the late 1930's the 2nd and 3rd floors, but only on the south side, were fitted with tiny bathrooms. There were no showers or tubs as everyone was there to take the sulphur baths down the street.

rooms vary in size from tiny to medium. All rooms have the traditional
Victorian sink in room. All are light and airy.
Room on right is one with a toilet and sink in a tiny "column" added on outside of building. Of course the paint is peeling...it's been 30 years. |
2nd floor above shops, gutted for the stabilization process. Rebuilt beams and joists. |
