More neat finds today! These were found under the Roseboro in the crawl spaces. The half pint bottle says W.C. Shineman on it and the pint bottle says D.H. Nichols – Canajoharie, NY on it. The Colgate Dental Cream and the old room key tag were found in the floorboards. The old books were found in one of the hotel rooms. They are all Jewish Devotion Books.
Unfortunately, the old Roseboro Ice House was beyond saving and we are in the process of tearing it down. I did, however, save all of the neat old hardware. The door is actually not just a regular door. It is about 8″ thick and has an insulated tin casing attached behind it. It is extremely heavy.
Senator James Seward paid a visit to the Roseboro today. He took a tour and was pleasantly surprised at how much work has been done. It was a nice visit.
