It was a busy day today at The Roseboro. The 12 foot walls went up in the bathrooms off the lobby, thanks to Roy Hall, Jr. We have yet to cut the entire opening for the doors, but it is starting to look better already. New floors, toilets, sinks and plumbing still need to be put installed. We are trying to get the new restrooms done before the Victorian Holiday Celebration in December.
Paint colors were chosen for the dining room and we started to paint the walls cream color, the columns burgundy, the woodwork white – all trimmed in gold leaf. I have also started to reupholster the dining chairs with burgundy and gold fabric. We will use the same fabric for the drapes. It will look very rich!
On the outside, I built a new delivery ramp off the back parking lot today and David Cousineau started to put in a new sidewalk. Mike McCallion painted the handicapped ramps to the dining room and the ballroom a burgundy color. We have also begun framing the new deck and porch for the arts building in the back where we will host the Festival of Trees this year as part of the Victorian Holiday Celebration.
Still a ton of work to do, but we are making great progress! Stay tuned!
