It is always fun to find things that have been tucked away in the hotel. I found an old maid’s cart in the attic. Not sure how they got it up there as there was only a very small hole in the ceiling to get into the attic.
With almost 300 aging windows in the hotel, it is a constant job to make sure the glass doesn’t fall out where the glazing has fallen away. You’ve got to love winter in New York! About 10″ of snow and still coming down.
We are building out our bird collection and added two new peacock varieties to the flock. A white peacock and a black shoulder joined our piebald peacock today. When in full fan and doing their dance, they add a lot of excitement to the aviary.
